Our cylinder safety standard: 10 checks on every cylinder we deliver
We deliver cylinders from several OGRA-licensed companies, Pakistani and imported, so the brand alone is not our promise. Our promise is what we check. Every cylinder THE LPG CO. delivers passes these ten checks before dispatch and at your door, or it does not reach you.
In one line
Licensed source, sealed, in test date, sound body, working valve, leak-tested, weighed in front of you, never decanted, your regulator checked, and unsafe cylinders taken out of use. THE LPG CO. PAKISTAN is licensed and regulated by OGRA (licence 09024041999).
The 10 checks
- 1Licensed source. Filled only by an OGRA-licensed marketing company, Pakistani or imported cylinder.
- 2Seal intact. The valve seal must be unbroken; a broken seal is refused.
- 3Test date. The embossed test date is checked; a cylinder past it is refused.
- 4Body condition. No deep dents, bulges, fire damage or heavy rust, especially at the base and around the valve.
- 5Valve and O-ring. The valve turns smoothly and the O-ring is present and undamaged.
- 6Leak test. Soap-water leak test at your door, never a flame.
- 7Full weight. Weighed on a scale in front of you: stamped tare weight plus the full gas weight.
- 8No decanting. Never filled from another cylinder at a shop; filled only at a licensed plant.
- 9Regulator and hose. Your regulator and hose are checked when we connect a new cylinder.
- 10Unsafe cylinders out of use. An old or unsafe customer cylinder is taken out of use and reported, not refilled.

Why this matters
- Short weight is a common complaint about bottled gas; weighing at the door settles it
- Decanting (filling small cylinders from big ones at a shop) is a known cause of accidents; we never do it
- An out-of-date or damaged cylinder is the real danger, not the brand; OGRA says certified cylinders do not pose an explosion risk under normal use
- A soap test at the door catches a leaking valve before it is in your kitchen
Check any cylinder yourself
The same checks work on any cylinder from any seller. Use the LPG cylinder safety checklist, learn to read the markings and test date and how to check the weight. Why customers choose us: why THE LPG CO.
Frequently asked questions
Which cylinders does THE LPG CO. deliver?
Pakistani and imported cylinders from OGRA-licensed marketing companies, in 5, 11.8, 15 and 45.4 kg steel and composite where stocked. We do not tie you to one brand; every cylinder passes the same 10 checks.
Do your riders really weigh every cylinder?
Yes. They carry a scale and weigh the cylinder in front of you, so you can see the stamped tare weight plus the full gas weight before you pay.
What happens if a cylinder fails a check?
It is not delivered. You get another cylinder that passes, at no extra charge.
Are your cylinders approved by OGRA?
THE LPG CO. PAKISTAN is licensed and regulated by OGRA (licence 09024041999) and follows the safety and quality standards OGRA requires. Every cylinder we deliver comes from an OGRA-licensed marketing company and carries the maker's stamp and a valid test date.
What if I already have an old cylinder?
We check it on our first visit. If it is past its test date or unsafe, we take it out of use and offer an exchange or a new cylinder rather than refill it.
